Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Pathsala Raas Mahotsav Set to Begin on Nov. 8

Bajali: Preparations are in full swing for the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Pathsala Raas Mahotsav, as the historic festival marks its 50th glorious year of cultural and spiritual heritage. The 17-day celebration, scheduled from November 8 to 25, promises to be one of the grandest editions in the festival’s history.

The inauguration will be graced by Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, who is also expected to unveil the newly constructed Raas Temple, adding a spiritual milestone to the occasion.

This year’s Mahotsav will feature a majestic cultural procession, thematic exhibitions, traditional fairs, and the installation of religious monuments, all aimed at showcasing the rich cultural traditions of the region. Various cultural organizations and educational institutions from Pathsala and nearby areas are set to take part, highlighting the community’s deep-rooted connection to Assamese art and devotion.

Speaking about the event, Anupal Dutta Pathak, President of the Publicity Committee, said, “The Golden Jubilee of Pathsala Raas Mahotsav is a celebration of unity, devotion, and the timeless teachings of Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev. We urge citizens, artists, and well-wishers to come together and make this milestone celebration a resounding success.”

Adding a modern touch to the traditional festivities, a Bollywood musical night featuring renowned playback singer Kunal Ganjawala will be held on November 21, expected to draw massive crowds.

With grand decorations, vibrant performances, and an air of devotion, the Pathsala Raas Mahotsav 2025 is all set to offer a blend of culture, spirituality, and celebration, marking a memorable 50-year journey of this iconic festival.
