Kokrajhar: Hagrama Mohilary was sworn in as the Chief of the 5th Executive Council of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), with national and state leaders extending their congratulations through social media and personal visits.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah described Mohilary’s swearing-in as “another innings for Bodoland on the path of peace, progress, and democracy,” referencing the Bodo Peace Accord of 2020 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda expressed confidence in the new team, stating that they would work for the people and carry forward Bodofa Upendranath Brahma’s dream of a prosperous Bodoland. He reiterated the commitment of both the Central and Assam Governments to inclusive growth and sustained development in the region.

Union Minister for Communications, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, also extended his greetings, describing the occasion as the beginning of a new journey for Bodoland, fostering peace, harmony, and progress across the North Eastern region.
Assam Minister Pijush Hazarika congratulated Hagrama Mohilary and Rihon Daimari, the newly sworn-in BTC Chief and Deputy Chief respectively, expressing hope that the new council would work with collective spirit towards all-round development.
Education Minister Ranoj Pegu, who attended the ceremony, personally lauded Mohilary’s leadership and wished him a successful tenure as BTC Chief.

Governor of Assam, Lakshman Prasad Acharya, expressed confidence that the new government would uphold democratic ideals and work for the welfare and development of Bodoland’s people. Additionally, Tuliram Ronghang, Chief Executive Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, conveyed his best wishes to Mohilary on his electoral victory and new responsibilities. The swearing-in marks a renewed focus on peace, progress, and inclusive development in Bodoland under the leadership of Hagrama Mohilary.
