Health Camp at Mazbat Serves More Than 300 Beneficiaries

UDALGURI-SONITPUR, Oct 5: A Seva Setu Abhiyan camp was organised at the Mazbat Block Development Officer’s office on Monday under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan initiated by the district administration.

A special Health and Welfare Camp was held as part of the programme, with participation from several government departments. BTC MCLA Shyam Chundi and Udalguri District Commissioner Pulak Patgiri visited the camp and interacted with healthcare workers and officials.

More than 300 beneficiaries received healthcare services, with eight doctors, including specialists from Udalguri Civil Hospital, providing medical assistance. Specialists Dr Bhagirath Dey, Dr Chandan Saha, Dr Hiranya Goyari and Dr Rupam Sarkar were among those attending the camp.

Free diagnostic services, including blood tests, were provided through a Mobile Medical Unit. ECG facilities and medicines were also made available, while X-ray services were offered for tuberculosis screening. Tests for malaria and diabetes were also conducted.

The camp also provided assistance with Ayushman Arogya Card services, ABHA ID registration and the issuance of birth and death certificates. Officials also helped beneficiaries address difficulties in accessing various government services.

BJP leaders Jitu Kishan, Jiban Deka and Maheswar Das, along with BPF leaders Benudhar Adhikari, Jyotish Kalita, Putul Deka and Meena Begum, were among those present.
