Guwahati, March 5: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma continued the fourth day of the Jana Ashirwad Yatra on March 5, beginning the day’s programme from Dhemaji district as part of his ongoing outreach tour across the state.
According to the schedule for the day, the Chief Minister is travelling from Dhemaji to Sisibor and Jonai, interacting with people during the day-long journey. The yatra has been witnessing large public gatherings, with residents assembling along roadsides at various points to greet the Chief Minister and show their support.
Crowds were seen gathering in several areas of the district as the Chief Minister’s convoy passed through, with people waiting to catch a glimpse of him. The strong turnout has marked today’s leg of the yatra in Dhemaji.
The Jana Ashirwad Yatra is part of a broader effort by the Chief Minister to strengthen direct engagement with the public across Assam, with the ongoing tour covering multiple districts in the state. Officials said the programme aims to facilitate closer interaction with citizens and mobilise public participation during the outreach campaign.
