Guwahati: The Indian Chamber of Commerce organised the ICC HealthTech & Well-Being Conclave at the NEDFi Convention Centre in Guwahati, bringing together policymakers, healthcare leaders, technologists and industry stakeholders to discuss the future of healthcare in Assam and the North East.
Held under the theme “Where Medicine Meets Machines, and Wellness Meets Worth,” the conclave focused on artificial intelligence, robotics, quality standards, wellness integration and regional medical value travel. Assam Health and Family Welfare Minister Ashok Singhal highlighted the government’s commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure and technology adoption, while NEDFi CMD P V S L N Murty spoke on the role of developmental finance. Senior officials and experts stressed the importance of medical education, skilled manpower and institutional excellence.
Three technical sessions examined smart healthcare technologies, digital dentistry and aesthetic medicine, and holistic healthcare innovations integrating traditional practices with modern research. Participants agreed on leveraging technology, policy support and partnerships to build a competitive and inclusive healthcare ecosystem in the region.
