India to Host 2025 World Boxing Cup Finals, Showcasing Global Boxing Elite

Sports Desk: India is set to host the 2025 World Boxing Cup Finals from November 14 to 21 at the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex, bringing together top boxers from around the world to compete for one of the sport’s most prestigious trophies. This marks the first time India will stage the week-long finale, highlighting its growing stature in international boxing.

The Finals will feature male and female boxers across ten weight categories, culminating the annual World Boxing series and featuring stage winners from countries including Brazil, Poland, and Kazakhstan. India, ranked in the top five globally, enters the tournament with 17 medals already secured this year—four golds, six silvers, and seven bronzes.

“Hosting the World Boxing Cup Finals reflects how far Indian boxing has come, not just in performance, but in our ability to stage world-class events,” said Ajay Singh, President of the Boxing Federation of India. “This is a defining moment for our athletes as we prepare for the Commonwealth Games 2030 and aim for the Olympics 2036.”

Indian boxers have already impressed during the 2025 Cup stages, with Hitesh Gulia winning gold in Brazil, Sakshi Chaudhary, Jasmine Lamboria, and Nupur Sheoran excelling in Kazakhstan, and multiple other medal wins in men’s and women’s categories.

The Finals promise thrilling bouts, giving fans a first-hand look at elite boxing talent while cementing India’s status as a rising hub on the global boxing map.
