Biswanath Chariali: The first inter state boundary pillar involving Pake Kessang , Arunachal Pradesh and Biswanath District, Assam has been erected at Sijusa point bordering the two districts this morning at around 9.30 in presence of the Health Minister , Arunachal Pradesh, DCs of both the Districts, SSP Biswanath, DFO Territorial & wildlife of both districts and survey officials of survey India and Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

The erection of the first boundary pillar has been undertaken following successful demarcation of 80% of the inter state boundary length between the two districts of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam. The process of demarcation and survey has been undertaken following a decision taken in the inter state Regional committee meeting. The process of erection of boundary pillars will be completed shortly.
