IPL 2026: Guwahati Gears Up for Rajasthan Royals vs Chennai Super Kings Clash as Ticket Sales Surge

Guwahati, March 21: Guwahati is witnessing a surge in cricket enthusiasm ahead of the Indian Premier League fixture between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings at the ACA Stadium on March 30, with nearly 70 per cent of tickets already sold.

The Assam Cricket Association Stadium is expected to host close to 40,000 spectators, setting the stage for a near-capacity turnout. The venue is likely to be dominated by the teams’ signature colours, pink and yellow, as fans from across Assam and neighbouring regions prepare for one of the season’s high-profile encounters.

To improve accessibility and encourage student participation, organisers have set up special ticket counters at the Brahmaputra riverfront in Uzan Bazar. Student tickets are priced at Rs 799, while general tickets are available for Rs 1,499. The counters will operate on March 21 and 22 between 3 pm and 7 pm, with students required to present valid identification to avail of the concession.

An additional ticket counter is scheduled to open on March 24 at South Point School, located near the stadium, and will remain operational from 11 am to 5 pm.

The initiative, led by the Rajasthan Royals, reflects a continued effort to engage younger audiences and strengthen grassroots interest in cricket, as anticipation builds for the high-stakes match.
