Tezpur: The District Employment Exchange (MCC) Tezpur, under the banner of the Directorate of Employment & Craftsman Training, Assam of Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department and the National Career Service Project under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, successfully organised a District-Level Job Recruitment Drive at the Kalaguru Sangeet Mahavidyalaya Field, Chandmari, Tezpur.

This significant initiative aimed to bridge the gap between employers and aspiring jobseekers of Assam by creating a convenient platform for interaction, interviews, and on-the-spot hiring.The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from both job aspirants and recruiting companies. The event hosted a diverse range of employers from Education, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Manpower Services, Telecom, and Motor Dealership sectors came forward to offer vacancies, giving candidates an opportunity to explore employment pathways within and beyond the district. Some of the notable recruiting companies in the panel include TKC World School, Swiggy Limited, SG Entreprises, Patanjali Foods, Sunit Breweries Pvt Ltd, Sodexo India Services Pvt. Ltd, Dorika Hospital, Powerline Genset, JIO Telecom, T & I Pvt Limited, Tezpur, Wazir Skills Pvt Ltd and RD Motors. During the drive more than seven hundred job seekers submitted applications for more than 360 vacancies against twelve companies.
The event was graced by the presence of eminent dignitaries, including MLA of Tezpur LAC, Prithiraj Rava, who addressed the gathering and emphasised the government’s ongoing efforts to mobilise the unemployed youth towards different opportunities including the private sector. A lively Q&A session with the jobseekers was held where they gained clarity on their career paths courtesy of Young Professional Santanu Shekhar Saikia from National Career Service – India, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India.Additionally, volunteers from Edupur Foundation and NCC extended their valuable management skills to ensure smooth operation of the event.
