Kokrajhar: Kokrajhar is all set to host the swearing-in ceremony of the fifth Executive Council of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) on October 5 at the Secretariat grounds in Bodofa Nagar. The event will witness Chief Executive Member Hagrama Mohilary taking the oath of office along with the newly elected council members, ushering in a new tenure for the autonomous body.

The ceremony will be graced by Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, while Chief Secretary Ravi Kota is supervising the overall arrangements. The programme will begin with the hoisting of the national flag, followed by floral tributes at the Bodofa UN Brahma memorial and the Bodoland Martyrs’ Memorial, honouring the region’s legacy and sacrifices.
Authorities said elaborate preparations are underway to ensure the smooth conduct of the historic occasion, which is expected to draw significant public and political attention.
