Lakshminath Bezbaroa Academy Records 100% Science Pass, Dhekiajuli Emerges as Education Hub

Udalguri-Sonitpur, April 28: Lakshminath Bezbaroa Academy in Dhekiajuli has achieved a perfect pass rate in the Science stream of the Higher Secondary (HS) examinations this year, marking a significant academic milestone for the institution and the region.

Out of 37 students who appeared from the Science stream, all cleared the examination. Among them, four students secured distinctions, eight achieved star marks, 17 passed in first division and eight in second division. Notable performers included Banshree Sen with 90 per cent, Samiksha Sapkota with 87 per cent, Konika Saha with 86.2 per cent and Swagata Sarkar with 85.4 per cent.

Principal Kajal Bora congratulated the students, teachers and parents for the achievement and described Dhekiajuli as an emerging “educational hub”. He highlighted the town’s consistent academic progress in recent years.

Referring to earlier successes, Bora noted that Hridam Thakuriya from Sankardev Shishu Vidya Niketan had topped the HSLC examination in Assam in 2023. He also pointed out that Antarikhya Adhikari of Lakshminath Bezbaroa Academy secured the top rank in the state in the 2025 Higher Secondary examinations with 97.4 per cent.

The Principal observed that students from Dhekiajuli previously had to move outside the town for higher education, but the trend has shifted in recent years. Educational institutions in the area are now attracting students from remote regions, reflecting growing confidence in local academic standards.

Emphasising the need to sustain this progress, Bora called for further initiatives to strengthen Dhekiajuli’s position as a prominent centre for education in Assam.
