Manipur CM Inaugurates School Library, Reviews Ongoing Education Infrastructure Projects

Reinforcing the Manipur government’s emphasis on strengthening educational infrastructure, Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on July 26 inaugurated a newly constructed library building at Heirangoithong High School and reviewed the progress of new school infrastructure at Singjamei Chingamakha High School.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Manipur Public Service Commission Secretary Neeta Arambam, Director of Education (Schools) Ng. Bhogendra Meetei, the school’s Head Mistress and other dignitaries.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of libraries in nurturing young minds and said the new facility would encourage students to cultivate reading habits, broaden their knowledge and build a strong academic foundation. He described the initiative as a significant step towards creating a knowledge-driven society capable of contributing to Manipur’s future.

Later, Singh visited Singjamei Chingamakha High School to inspect the construction of new school buildings along with officials from the Education Department. Expressing satisfaction with the pace of work, he said the project is progressing according to schedule and is expected to be completed within the stipulated timeline.

The visit underscored the state government’s continued focus on upgrading school infrastructure to provide students with improved learning environments and enhance the overall quality of education in Manipur.
