Meghalaya CM Disburses CMSDF Assistance to Entrepreneurs, Schools and Community Organisations

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on July 1 distributed financial sanctions under the Chief Minister’s Special Development Fund (CMSDF) to entrepreneurs, educational institutions, women’s organisations and representatives of various communities across the state.

The assistance has been provided to support a range of development initiatives, encourage entrepreneurship, strengthen educational infrastructure and empower community-based organisations working in different sectors.

Sharing the development, Sangma reaffirmed the Meghalaya government’s commitment to promoting inclusive growth by extending financial support to individuals and organisations that are contributing to the state’s socio-economic progress.

The Chief Minister said the Chief Minister’s Special Development Fund is intended to benefit deserving recipients and facilitate projects focused on livelihood generation, educational development, women’s empowerment and community welfare across Meghalaya.

The initiative forms part of the state government’s efforts to promote sustainable development by supporting programmes and institutions that contribute to long-term economic and social advancement.
