Meghalaya CM Launches ‘Achievers of the Month’ Initiative, Interacts with 50 Entrepreneurs

Shillong, June 30: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on June 30 launched the ‘Achievers of the Month’ initiative to recognise individuals who have made notable contributions across a wide range of fields, including sports, arts, entrepreneurship, agriculture, innovation, tourism, education and social leadership.

Announcing the initiative, the Chief Minister said it is intended to honour people whose work is creating opportunities, generating livelihoods and contributing to the overall development of Meghalaya.

Alongside the launch, Sangma interacted with 50 entrepreneurs from different parts of the state under the CM Connect initiative. Reflecting on the interaction, he described their entrepreneurial journeys as inspiring examples of determination, perseverance and self-belief supported by the right opportunities.

He expressed confidence that the achievements of these entrepreneurs would encourage more young people to pursue their aspirations, establish new enterprises and emerge as the next generation of entrepreneurs and employment creators.

Reiterating the Meghalaya government’s focus on promoting entrepreneurship and innovation, Sangma said the administration remains committed to creating an enabling environment where aspiring entrepreneurs can access the support needed to grow their ventures and succeed.
