Karbi Anglong: All India Congress Committee (AICC) senior Spokesperson and Media Co-ordinator for Assam, Dr. Onika Mehrotra, addressed Congress party workers at the Karbi Anglong District Congress Party Office in Diphu, focusing on strengthening the party’s grassroots movement. Dr. Mehrotra claimed that Ronghang has shown little regard for the region’s residents, amassing wealth for himself, his family, and close associates. She further alleged that Ronghang facilitated the transfer of 1.53 lakh bighas of land to business associates of the BJP, betraying the interests of Karbi Anglong’s people.

Additionally, Dr. Mehrotra criticized the BJP for politicizing the ongoing investigation into the murder of heartthrob Zubeen Garg, accusing the party of exploiting the tragedy for political gain.
