Officials assigned to handle election materials in Mizoram received specialised training on 23 November as preparations advanced for the 12th General Election to the Lai Autonomous District Council. The programme was organised at the DRDO Conference Hall with a focus on ensuring that the upcoming polls take place smoothly and without procedural errors.
District Election Officer Donny Lalruatsanga supervised the session and underscored the responsibility placed on election personnel to uphold transparency, precision and efficiency during the electoral process. He highlighted the essential role of Dispatch and Receiving Teams, urging them to perform their duties carefully to avoid mistakes that could affect the integrity of the election.
The training included detailed briefings on operational procedures, mandatory guidelines and prohibited practices related to the handling of election materials. Master Trainer Gilbert Lalhlimpuia and Election Officer Collin Hlychho led the instructional components, providing clarity on key processes to enhance preparedness.
Lalruatsanga acknowledged the officials for their participation and stated that such preparation would strengthen their capability to execute tasks effectively during the upcoming council election.
