Biswanath Chariali: Biswanath District Commissioner and District Election Officer Lakhinanda Saharia and State SVEEP Icon Rakesh Banik officially launched the election mascot of the district “Mohan” today.

The event was held at the District Commissioner’s Conference hall. The event was hosted by Ranjit Shaikia of the Public Relations Department. Rakesh Banik, the first paracyclist of the North East and State SVEEP Icon, explained the purpose of his journey and made valuable speeches to raise awareness among voters. Afterwards, the State SVEEP Icon officially inaugurated the Shubhankar ‘Mohan’ of Biswanath district. After the programme, an awareness cycle rally was taken out through Biswanath town with the participation of students from the District Commissioner’s office led by Rakesh Banik. This initiative encourages active participation of the people by sending voter awareness messages.
The District Commissioner, SVEEP Icon, Election Officer Dhiman Hazarika, Assistant Commissioner and Nodal Officer of SVEEP Cell, Manjushree Bora, Assistant Commissioners Niki Burman, Juri Devi, students, NCC cadets and other officers and employees were present on the occasion.
