ITANAGAR, Aug 6: Union Health Minister and BJP National President J.P. Nadda on Thursday visited flash flood and cloudburst-affected areas of Keyi Panyor district in Arunachal Pradesh to assess the damage and assure affected families of the Centre’s support.
During the visit, Nadda reviewed the impact of the disaster and interacted with residents who had suffered losses due to the recent flash floods and cloudbursts.
Expressing sorrow over the loss of lives and damage to property, he conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families and wished those injured a speedy recovery.
Nadda said the Central Government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stood firmly with the people of Arunachal Pradesh and remained committed to providing all necessary assistance for relief, rehabilitation and long-term reconstruction.
He assured that every effort would be made to ensure relief and rehabilitation measures reached all affected families.
The visit came as the state continued restoration and relief operations in the wake of heavy rainfall, flash floods and cloudbursts that caused extensive damage across several districts.
