Nagaon, April 26: Police in Nagaon have solved a robbery case reported from the Morikolong area, arresting two individuals in connection with the incident, Senior Superintendent of Police Partha Pratim Das said on April 26.
The accused have been identified as Umar Ali, described as the main accused, and Mintu Hussain. Authorities recovered ₹45,000 in cash from their possession during the operation.
According to the police, Umar Ali is a repeat offender with a history of involvement in multiple robbery cases, including incidents reported in Sonitpur district.
Officials added that three other suspects linked to the case remain absconding. Efforts are ongoing to trace and apprehend them as part of the continuing investigation.
