The meeting, coordinated by Anurag Agarwal, Dy. General Manager (G), focused on apprising MPs of the ongoing and upcoming projects of NFR and seeking their feedback for better service delivery.
Shrivastava highlighted that NFR operates 7,362 track kilometres, with over 90% electrified. Double-line work has been completed in several key sections, and new infrastructure projects—such as a new bridge over the Brahmaputra and a third line between Kamakhya and Guwahati—are underway.
He also shared that Aizawl has been connected to the railway network for the first time, freight services have begun in Nagaland, and station upgradation is progressing under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. MPs shared valuable suggestions, which NFR assured would be duly considered.
