Oil Gold Cup Football Tournament: Four Teams Participate in Today’s Matches 

Duliajan: The Oil Gold Cup Football Tournament witnessed exciting action today at the Tipling Tea Estate playground, with four teams competing across two thrilling matches.

In the day’s opening clash, T Sports Academy, Rajali edged past Motapung FC Barekuri 2-1 in a match filled with tension and skill. Motapung FC’s Arjun Kumar gave his team an early lead in the 20 minute of the first half, delighting the spectators. However, T Sports Academy turned the game around in the second half, with Lohar Dey scoring in the 44th minute, followed by Santanu Chutia’s decisive goal in the 48 minute, securing victory for the Rajali side.

The second match saw Mahmora Nabajyoti Sangha take on Diamukhia FC, Dumduma. The first half belonged to Mahmora, with Siddhanta Chetia putting them ahead in the 39th minute. Early in the second half, Bhushan Sonowal added two more goals in quick succession (44th and 45th minutes), ensuring a convincing 3-1 win for Mahmora Nabajyoti Sangha.

Siddhanta Chetia was named Player of the Match for his remarkable performance and was awarded a ₹2,000 cheque by Oil India in recognition of his contribution.
