Duliajan: In continuance of the ongoing efforts for the empowerment of Persons with Disabilities under Project OIL SAKSHYAM—the flagship CSR initiative of OIL India Limited—a three-day Fitment and Distribution Program for assistive devices was successfully conducted at Mrinaljyoti Rehabilitation Centre from December 9 to 11 in collaboration with Mobility India.
The program, organized for 40 beneficiaries with mobility impairments, followed detailed assessments carried out in October 2025.Through this initiative, customized assistive devices were provided to individuals who require mobility support, ensuring timely intervention and greater independence in their daily lives. The devices were handed over by the dignitaries from OIL Nayana Madhu Dutta, Chief Manager CSR & Shatabdi Mahanta,Manager CSR, technical experts from Mobility India Bimal Rongpee(P&O),Tajmira Sultana (P&O), Kamminlum (Physiotherapist), Runu Khatun (P&O), Jakina Engtipi (P&O) and Founder secretary Amiya Pathak Borpujari, Director Joyprakash Borpujari and other officials of MRC.
This CSR initiative of OIL India Limited undertaken as part of the MoU between OIL and MRC signed on March 31, 2023, continues to set a remarkable example in promoting inclusivity and strengthening community-based rehabilitation. By extending their support to such impactful initiatives, OIL reinforces its commitment to enhancing the quality of life of Persons with Disabilities and enabling them to participate more fully in society.

The program not only addressed immediate mobility needs but also reflected the shared mission of Mrinaljyoti Rehabilitation Centre, Mobility India, and OIL India Limited to empower individuals, foster dignity, and create pathways toward a more inclusive future.
