Pak Army Chief conferred with King Abdulaziz Medal of Excellence by Saudi Arabia

New Delhi/ Guwahati, Dec 23: Pakistan’s Army Chief Asim Munir was on Monday conferred with the King Abdulaziz Medal of Excellence, Saudi Arabia’s highest civilian honour during his official visit to the Saudi Arabian Kingdom.

This Prestigious award recognizes Munir’s exceptional efforts in strengthening Pakistan- Saudi Arabia relations and advancing defense cooperation between the two nations.

The Medal of excellence was presented to Asim Munir by the Saudi Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman, following a royal decree from King Salman bin Abdulaliz Al Saud.

The Pak Army Chief expressed gratitude for the honor, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to Saudi Arabia’s security, stability and prosperity.

This development comes after a strategic defense pact between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia was signed in September 2025, highlighting the growing ties between both the countries.
