Pakistan Announce Squad for Women’s T20 World Cup 2026

Delhi: Pakistan women’s national cricket team have announced their squad for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 and the T20I bilateral series against Ireland and the West Indies. The tournament is scheduled to begin on June 12 in England. All-rounder Fatima Sana will captain Pakistan for the second consecutive Women’s T20 World Cup after leading the side in the 2024 edition as well. The squad includes five players who are set for their maiden on-field appearance at the global tournament — Eyman Fatima, Natalia Pervaiz, Rameen Shamim, Saira Jabeen and Tasmia Rubab. Natalia Pervaiz and Tasmia Rubab had earlier been included in Pakistan’s previous World Cup squads but did not get an opportunity to feature in any match.

Experienced fast bowler Diana Baig has returned to the main squad, replacing Amber Kainat, who has been named among the reserves. Senior batter Sidra Amin also remains in the reserve list alongside Momina Riasat, Sadaf Shamas, Syeda Aroob Shah and Umm-e-Hani. Pakistan have made five changes from their 2024 T20 World Cup squad, with Sidra Amin, Sadaf Shamas, Omaima Sohail, Nida Dar and Syeda Aroob Shah making way for the new inclusions.

Placed in Group A, Pakistan will face strong competition alongside India women’s national cricket team, Australia women’s national cricket team, South Africa women’s national cricket team, Bangladesh women’s national cricket team and Netherlands women’s national cricket team. Pakistan will begin their campaign against India on June 14 at Edgbaston in Birmingham.
