Itanagar, Feb 21: Vishakha Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Papum Pare district, has been conferred the Arunachal Pradesh State Award (Silver Medal) in recognition of her meritorious administrative service.
The award acknowledges her impactful initiatives during her tenure as Deputy Commissioner of Kurung Kumey district and Tirap district. Among her notable contributions was the Digi Kaksha programme, which aimed at promoting innovative education practices and strengthening governance delivery in remote areas. Her efforts in improving public service mechanisms and introducing forward-looking administrative measures earned widespread appreciation.
The honour highlights her dedicated leadership and significant contribution to governance and development in Arunachal Pradesh.
Currently serving as Deputy Commissioner of Papum Pare, Yadav has been transferred to New Delhi and is expected to assume her new assignment after March 2026.
