Healthcare services in the Lohit and Anjaw districts have received a major boost with the inauguration of Peelomai Tayang Memorial Hospital, the first private hospital in Tezu. The facility was formally opened by Dr Mohesh Chai, Advisor to the Health Minister and MLA of Tezu.
Dr Chai said the hospital would significantly improve access to quality medical services in the region, noting that it would help address long-standing healthcare needs in both districts. The hospital has been established by Ojing Pul, son of former Chief Minister late Kalikho Pul, as part of the family’s commitment to public welfare.
During the ceremony, Dr Chai and Ojing Pul outlined their shared vision for enhancing medical facilities in eastern Arunachal Pradesh and expressed confidence that the new hospital would set higher benchmarks for private healthcare delivery.
Located opposite the Botanical Garden in Tezu town, the opening of the hospital marks an important milestone in strengthening the district’s medical infrastructure and providing residents with better healthcare closer to home.
