Itanagar, April 9: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on April 9 called upon citizens of Assam to actively participate in the ongoing Assembly elections, stressing the importance of every vote in shaping the state’s future.

Encouraging voters to exercise their franchise with enthusiasm, Khandu particularly appealed to young voters and women to take part in the democratic process with confidence.

In a post on X, he said that as voting gets underway across the state, every citizen should step forward and participate in the important democratic exercise, noting that each vote carries the power to influence the future.

His appeal comes as polling is being held across all 126 Assembly constituencies, with voters turning out to elect their representatives amid elaborate arrangements to ensure a free, fair, and peaceful process.

Khandu’s message highlighted the importance of civic participation and reflected a broader commitment among leaders in the Northeast to uphold democratic values and encourage voter engagement.
