RAF head constable injured in grenade attack in Imphal East

A Rapid Action Force (RAF) head constable sustained minor injuries after unidentified miscreants hurled a grenade at the gate of a RAF camp at New Lambulane in Manipur’s Imphal East district on Thursday night.

The attack occurred at around 10 pm on October 8 at B/107 RAF, under the jurisdiction of Porompat police station, according to sources.

The injured personnel was identified as Dhananjay Rai, a head constable from Uttar Pradesh.

The motive behind the attack and the identity of those responsible remain unknown. Further details are awaited.
