Itanagar, July 6: Rajya Sabha MP Tai Tagak visited the Mothers Home-cum-Achukuru Children’s Home in Ziro and assured continued support to strengthen the institution’s efforts in providing care and shelter to destitute and underprivileged children.
During his visit, Tagak interacted with the children and lauded the dedication of the home’s founder, Talyang Shanti, for her commitment to offering protection, care and a better future to children in need. He appreciated the institution’s humanitarian work and recognised its contribution to the welfare of vulnerable sections of society.
To support the home, the MP donated Rs 1 lakh and distributed essential items, including mattresses, blankets and fruits, for the benefit of the children and other residents.
Tagak also assured the institution of all possible assistance from the government to strengthen its activities and help it continue its service to the community.
Recognising the challenges faced by the children’s home, he further promised to take up the issue of improving road connectivity to the facility, stating that better access would enhance the well-being of the children and ensure the smoother functioning of the institution.
