Guwahati: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of the Northeast Frontier Railway has tightened security across all railway stations and trains to ensure passenger safety and safeguard railway property. In response to recent security concerns, alerts have been issued to all RPF units, with additional personnel deployed at sensitive and vulnerable locations.
Dog squads have been mobilized to assist in anti-sabotage operations, while intensive checks are being conducted at stations, platforms, and onboard trains. CCTV monitoring has been strengthened for round-the-clock surveillance, enabling swift detection of any suspicious activity or unattended items.
The RPF is working in close coordination with the Government Railway Police (GRP) and other security agencies for effective information sharing and joint action. Passengers have been urged to cooperate during security checks and promptly report any suspicious objects or behavior to railway staff or RPF personnel.
