Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat arrived in Manipur on Thursday, November 20, marking his initial visit to the state since the eruption of ethnic violence two years ago. The three-day trip is officially part of the organisation’s ongoing centenary celebrations, focusing on internal engagements and a series of closed-door discussions. According to officials from the RSS, Bhagwat’s itinerary is primarily connected to the organisation’s centenary programmes and will remain largely internal, without any announced public events or large-scale gatherings.
During the first day of his visit, Bhagwat was scheduled to hold a meeting with entrepreneurs and prominent citizens at Konjeng Leikai in Imphal. The following day, November 21, the RSS chief will focus his attention on community issues and concerns by holding discussions with tribal leaders representing the hill districts.
Over the course of the three-day stay, separate interactive sessions have also been planned with youth leaders and other influential citizens of the state. These meetings are intended to provide a space for dialogue with various sections of the society, though the focus remains on internal and organisational outreach.
