RTU Hojai, Dibrugarh University Sign MoU for Academic Collaboration

Hojai: Rabindranath Tagore University (RTU), Hojai and Dibrugarh University (DU) on Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Dibrugarh University campus, marking a significant step towards strengthening academic and research collaboration between the two institutions.

In line with the objectives of the agreement, both universities reaffirmed their commitment to fostering closer cooperation in higher education. The MoU aims to promote joint research initiatives, faculty exchange programmes, and the development of innovative academic activities that will benefit students and researchers of both institutions.

The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Manabendra Dutta Choudhury, Vice Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University, and Prof. Jiten Hazarika, Vice Chancellor of Dibrugarh University. Also present on the occasion were Dr. Paramananda Sonowal, Registrar of Dibrugarh University; Prof. Dr. Pranjal Morang, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) of Rabindranath Tagore University; and Professor Pankaj Chetia and Sri Devraj Sharma, PILOs of Dibrugarh University.

Speaking on the occasion, representatives of both universities highlighted that the collaboration would open new avenues for academic innovation, interdisciplinary research, and knowledge exchange. The partnership is expected to enhance institutional capacities and create opportunities for students and faculty members to engage in meaningful research and learning experiences.

The MoU is widely viewed as a positive development for the higher education landscape of Assam, with both RTU and Dibrugarh University expressing optimism that the collaboration will contribute significantly to academic excellence and research development across the state.
