Guwahati: Rupkamal Kalita, a key individual connected to the ongoing probe into the death of singer-actor Zubeen Garg, departed from Guwahati for Singapore on Wednesday night. He was dropped off at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport by officials of the Assam Police.
Before leaving, Kalita reportedly assured the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of his full cooperation in the ongoing investigation. He stated that he would remain available to assist the authorities whenever required.

According to police sources, Kalita’s travel was undertaken with due permission, and the SIT has already recorded his statement. His departure comes amid intensified questioning of several individuals linked to the case, as the SIT continues to piece together key details surrounding the mysterious death of the popular singer in Singapore last month. Officials said that further action will depend on the findings of the SIT’s ongoing investigation.
