Guwahati: An emotional scene unfolded at the CID office in Guwahati on Friday when Nirupama Mahanta, the mother of event manager Shyamkanu Mahanta, arrived to meet her son who remains in CID custody in connection with the ongoing probe into the death of singer Zubeen Garg.
According to sources, Nirupama reached the CID headquarters in the morning, accompanied by Shyamkanu’s wife. The brief meeting reportedly left both women emotional as they exchanged words of comfort with Shyamkanu inside the premises.
