Gangtok, Jan 7: A young law student from Sikkim has earned national recognition after being selected to represent the state at a prestigious youth platform in the national capital. Stuti Pradhan, a resident of Rangpo in Pakyong district, has been chosen as one of the anchors for the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, scheduled to be held from January 9 to 12 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
The high-profile programme will be organised in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and is expected to bring together dynamic young leaders from across India to discuss ideas, innovations and visions shaping the country’s future. Stuti’s selection as an anchor places her in a central role in facilitating discussions at the national-level dialogue.
She had earlier made her mark by winning the State-level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament, which gave her the opportunity to represent Sikkim at the national session in New Delhi. Her strong oratory skills, clarity of thought and confident stage presence reportedly stood out during the event, leading to her selection for the anchoring role at the upcoming dialogue.
Stuti’s achievement has been widely described as a proud moment for Sikkim, highlighting the growing participation of the state’s youth in national policy-oriented platforms. Her role is expected to showcase the perspectives and capabilities of young voices from the Northeast on a prominent national stage.
The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue is being organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, with support from MyBharat Kendra, Gangtok. The initiative aims to encourage youth engagement from diverse regions and backgrounds, providing a forum to contribute ideas and solutions for India’s development journey.
