Guwahati: In a major breakthrough in the investigation into the mysterious death of legendary singer Zubeen Garg, the Government of Singapore has officially sent three crucial forensic reports to the Government of Assam, Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed on Friday.
The documents include the post-mortem report, the marine policy report, and the toxicology report — all prepared by Singaporean authorities. Chief Minister Sarma emphasised the significance of the toxicology report, describing it as an “authentic and vital document,” since it is based on blood samples collected immediately after Zubeen Garg’s death.
“These reports will help us understand the exact circumstances surrounding his passing,” Sarma said, adding that the Criminal Investigation Team (CIT) will soon submit the official paperwork while the Special Investigation Team (SIT) continues its investigation to ensure justice.
Addressing public speculation surrounding the case, the Chief Minister stated, “Those who doubt the investigation or question the process will have to change their opinion by December 17.”
The receipt of the reports from Singapore marks a pivotal moment in the case, providing critical forensic and scientific evidence that could shed new light on one of Assam’s most closely followed investigations.
