Nagaon: Noted Nagaon based singer and the retired senior planning officer, Bijay Biswas has been nominated for Rashtriya Divya Pratibha Samman 2026. The award will be presented by Blue Star Event for his dedication, devotion and hard work in the field of music.

It’s pertinent to mention that Biswas is a dedicated singer, lyricist and music composer and has already earned a brand in the field of music on a national level. He was highly appreciated in Kolkata as well as in Assam. Being a strict follower of musical maestro, Sudhakantha Dr Bhupen Hazarika along with his official duties as a planning officer, Biswas also accorded a new identity in various television channels in Kolkata and Assam and often took part in musical programmes telecasted time to time in various television channels in West Bengal and Assam. He was honoured with a dozen of awards in Kolkata as well as in his native state Assam.
