Sonu Nigam Seeks Blessings at Kamakhya Temple Ahead of Guwahati Concert, Remembers Bond With Zubeen Garg

Popular Bollywood playback singer Sonu Nigam visited the Maa Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati on Sunday morning to offer prayers ahead of his scheduled musical performance in the city. The visit came just hours before his special concert titled “Deewana Tera”, which is set to take place later in the day at Greenwood Resort.

Nigam arrived in Guwahati from Delhi on Saturday for a two-day visit. As part of his itinerary, he is also expected to visit Zubeen Kshetra in Sonapur later today.

Speaking to the media after his arrival, the singer reflected on his long-standing friendship with late Assamese music icon Zubeen Garg, which began in 1997. Nigam said he shared many cherished memories with Garg from his time in Assam and expressed his inability to come to terms with the singer’s sudden death.

“Ever since I met Zubeen in Assam, many memories have been attached to him. I still cannot understand what suddenly happened to him. The people of Assam have given Zubeen immense love,” Nigam said.

Nigam’s visit and concert have drawn attention from fans across the region, with the singer’s temple visit adding a spiritual note to his Guwahati appearance.
