Guwahati: The Dog Squad of the 1st Battalion Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Sonapur, conducted anti-sabotage checking at the Assam Cricket Association (ACA) Cricket Stadium in Barsapara, Guwahati, on Tuesday ahead of the upcoming second ODI between India and the West Indies. The security exercise was conducted under the guidance of Kh. Ibouchouba Singh, Second-in-Command and officiating Commandant, 1st Battalion SSB, Sonapur.

During the operation, trained SSB Explosive Detection Dog Rusty, accompanied by Head Constable (GD) Mahender Kumar and Constable (GD) Sagar Ravindra Kattimani, carried out thorough checks at designated areas of the stadium. The anti-sabotage operation was aimed at detecting any suspicious objects or potential security threats and strengthening security arrangements ahead of the high-profile international cricket fixture. The SSB personnel conducted the checking in accordance with prescribed security protocols and provided necessary assistance to support the overall security arrangements at the venue.
The exercise forms part of the comprehensive security measures being implemented around the ACA Stadium to ensure a safe and secure environment for players, officials, spectators and other stakeholders attending the India-West Indies ODI. The second ODI is expected to draw a large gathering of cricket fans, with security agencies coordinating their efforts to maintain safety and orderly arrangements at the stadium and its surrounding areas.
