HOJAI, Aug 9: The ‘G’ Coy of the 1st Battalion, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Sonapur, organised a painting competition at Government Primary School, Hojai, under the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaigns.
Held on the theme ‘Patriotism, National Unity and the Tricolour’, the competition saw enthusiastic participation from 46 students. The participants depicted patriotism, respect for the National Flag and national unity through their paintings.
The students securing the first, second and third positions were felicitated with medals.
School teachers, local residents and SSB personnel attended the programme. The students were also sensitised to the importance of respecting the National Flag, patriotism and civic responsibilities.
The programme aimed to instil patriotism among children and youth, strengthen national unity and create awareness about the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.
