GUWAHATI, Aug 1: The First Battalion of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Sonapur, organised a mini marathon and patriotic run at Bhaktpara on Saturday as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
Held under the guidance of Commandant Sunil Kaushik, the event aimed to promote patriotism, respect for the National Flag, physical fitness, and awareness of a healthy and disciplined lifestyle among SSB personnel and the local community.
Personnel of ‘B’ Company, local villagers, youth and members of the public participated in the run, carrying the National Flag and completing the event with enthusiasm and discipline.
Speaking on the occasion, SSB officers said such programmes promote physical fitness while strengthening national unity, patriotism and community participation. They urged citizens to actively take part in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and uphold the dignity of the National Flag.
The programme concluded with participants taking a pledge to remain committed to serving the nation, adopting a healthy lifestyle and contributing to nation-building.
