Sunil Tuti Appointed BJP Tea Tribe Morcha President in Sonitpur

Rangapara: In a significant recognition of grassroots leadership, Sunil Tuti, son of a tea worker from Dhalkuba Tea Estate in Rangapara, has been appointed as the President of the BJP Tea Tribe Morcha, Sonitpur District Committee.

The appointment was made with the approval of BJP State President Dilip Saikia and Tea Tribe Morcha State President Dulen Nayak. Madhusmita Hazarika Deka, President of the BJP Sonitpur District Committee, formally handed over the organizational responsibility to Tuti through a written order issued on October 6.

Tuti, who joined the BJP in 2023, has long been active in labor welfare. Since 2014, he has served as the acting secretary of the Tezpur branch of the Assam Chah Mazdoor Sangha (ACMS), representing 37 tea estates.

Expressing gratitude, Tuti — son of the late Kunwar Tuti and Kumari Tuti — said he aims to “serve and assist the people through politics in the coming days.” Meanwhile, Gopi Naidu from Phulbari Tea Estate, Rangapara, has been appointed as the State Vice President of the BJP Tea Tribe Morcha.
