Suspected cannabis peddler arrested with Rs 50,000 worth of contraband in Bongaigaon

BONGAIGAON: A suspected cannabis peddler was arrested with cannabis worth around Rs 50,000 at Kabaitari in Jogighopa, Assam.

The accused was identified as Abu Sayed Ali, who allegedly operated an Ayurvedic medicine pharmacy at the FCI market in Kabaitari while running the suspected cannabis trade.

According to reports, local residents allegedly caught Ali while he was involved in the suspected illegal activity and handed him over to the police.

Police took the accused into custody and launched an investigation into the alleged cannabis trade.
