Tezpur: As part of the mission to uphold and keep alive the ideals of Assam’s beloved artist and humanitarian Zubeen Garg, Tezpur Zubinians distributed sweet packets and warm clothes among underprivileged people living on the streets of Tezpur on Diwali and pledged to continue his legacy of compassion and service to humanity .
On the occasion,members of the team visited various localities of the entire Tezpur town and personally offered sweets and winter garments to those living in neglected and distressed conditions. Besides,the group also visited the Nabaprabhat Children’s Home at Ketekibari, Tezpur, where they distributed sweets and essential items among the girl children residing there.

Notably, Zubeen Garge is widely known for his constant concern for the welfare of the poor and distressed. Ideals of the late Zubeen Garg have inspired the Tezpur Zubinians to dedicate themselves to social welfare activities that reflect his spirit. Speaking to media during the event, members of the organization affirmed that by continuing Zubeen Garg’s mission of love, empathy, and service, they would strive to keep the legendary artist’s ideals alive for all time to come.Further, they expressed their faith in the judicial system and urged the government to take prompt action to ensure justice in the case of Zubeen Garg’s mysterious death.
