GOLAKGANJ, Sept 20: Police arrested three youths allegedly involved in the illegal supply of narcotics during an anti-drug operation at Tamarhat in Golakganj on the night of September 19.
The arrested individuals were identified as Injamul Haque, Manowar Hussain and Zakir Khan. Police reportedly recovered 96.01 grams of heroin from their possession during the operation.
The arrests were part of ongoing anti-narcotics operations in different parts of the area to curb the illegal trafficking and distribution of drugs.
Police were questioning the arrested individuals to ascertain the source of the heroin, its intended destination and whether they were linked to other members of a wider drug supply network.
Further investigation was underway, with police examining possible links between the arrested individuals and other suspected drug suppliers operating in the region.
