“We are extremely worried. Following the incident, the families lodged a First Information Report (FIR) at Philobari Police Station, urging immediate police intervention. Authorities have registered a case and launched an investigation to trace the missing girls.
Police sources said efforts are underway to gather leads, including examining the possibility of involvement of organised trafficking groups. However, officials have not yet confirmed whether the girls have been trafficked or who may be responsible. Security agencies are reportedly intensifying search operations and monitoring key transit routes as part of the ongoing investigation.
