Nazira: The 6th Annual Traditional Boat Race was successfully held on the Dikhou River in Nazira on Friday to mark the occasion of Shilpi Divas. The vibrant cultural event was organized by the Nazira Co-District Committee of the Scheduled Caste Youth Student Council, Assam, in collaboration with Amulapatty Youva Samaj, Upper Nazira Youva Samaj, and the local residents of Nazira.
The traditional race witnessed enthusiastic participation from six teams, each displaying remarkable skill, coordination, and age-old rowing techniques passed down through generations. The event, observed annually on Shilpi Divas, stands as a symbol of the region’s rich cultural legacy and traditional sporting spirit.
