Training Programme on Mental Health and Awareness held in LCC

North Lakhimpur: A training programme on mental health concerns and awareness was held at Lakhimpur Commerce College(LCC), North Lakhimpur today. Meant for the teachers and office staff of the college, the training programme was organised by the Physical and Mental Wellness Cell of the college in collaboration with Vivekananda Study Centre, Lakhimpur Commerce College.

The training programme was inaugurated by Dr. Lohit Hazarika, Principal of the college in which the objective of the meeting was explained by Dr. Rupjyoti Bhattacharjee, coordinator of the Physical and Mental Wellness Cell of the college.

Dr. Shamiul Akhtar Borborah, eminent psychiatrist from North Lakhimpur attended the training programme as the resource person. The training programme was conducted under the broader area of Understanding Minds,  Strengthening Institutions. Dr. Borborah in the training programme demonstrated and presented on various aspects of workplace psychologies and issues responding to different mental and psychological concerns in institutions like colleges and universities.  The training programme was attended by all the faculty and non-teaching staff of Lakhimpur Commerce College led by Vice Principal Sazzad Hussain and Senior Assistant Dipak Borborah respectively.
