Tripura CM Distributes Appointment Offers to General Duty Medical Officers

AGARTALA: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Tuesday distributed appointment offers to General Duty Medical Officers at Pragna Bhavan in Agartala, highlighting the state government’s focus on strengthening healthcare services and medical manpower.

Addressing the programme, Saha, who also holds the Health portfolio, stressed the importance of doctors in ensuring accessible and quality healthcare for people across the state.

The appointment of General Duty Medical Officers is expected to strengthen the availability of medical personnel in government health institutions and improve healthcare delivery, particularly at the grassroots level.

The government has been pursuing measures to expand healthcare infrastructure and strengthen human resources across Tripura.

The initiative came a day after Saha visited Dhalai district, where he performed Bhumi Pujan and laid the foundation stone for a new medical college, marking another step towards expanding medical education and healthcare infrastructure beyond Agartala.

Secretary Kiran Gitte and other dignitaries were also present at the programme.
