Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday to discuss raising the ceiling limit for Externally Aided Projects (EAPs) in the state.
In a post on X, Dr. Saha said, “Discussed the need for enhancing the ceiling limit of EAPs, since several crucial projects under Urban Development, Tourism, and the Agartala Municipal Corporation are awaiting progress due to the present restriction.”

The meeting focused on accelerating key infrastructure and development projects, which have been constrained by existing EAP limits. Raising the ceiling is expected to facilitate faster implementation of initiatives in urban development, tourism, and municipal infrastructure across Agartala and other areas of Tripura.
Dr. Saha also called on BJP National General Secretary (Organisation) B.L. Santhosh at the party headquarters in New Delhi.
The Chief Minister’s engagements underscore the Tripura government’s ongoing efforts to secure enhanced financial and administrative support from the Centre to expedite the state’s development priorities.
